# Scopes

> Grant an API key only the permissions your integration needs.

Scopes control what an API key can do. A request fails with `API_SCOPE_MISSING` when the key does not include the required scope.

## Personal API key scopes

| Scope | Allows |
| - | - |
| `profile:read` | Read the API-key owner's profile |
| `raffles:read` | List and read published public raffles |
| `entries:read` | Read the owner's raffle entries |
| `entries:write` | Create or update the owner's native raffle entry, and withdraw it |
| `wins:read` | Read the owner's raffle wins |

## Workspace API key scopes

| Scope | Allows |
| - | - |
| `raffles:read` | List and read raffles owned by the workspace |
| `entries:read` | Read entries for workspace raffles |
| `winners:read` | Read finalized winners for workspace raffles |
| `projects:read` | Read the developer-safe workspace project view |

  Use the smallest set of scopes your integration needs. Separate keys are useful for different services, environments, or permission boundaries.
